How to Attach Straps to a Sensory Swing for Doorway Installation

Two secured straps attached to the sensory swing fabric, with a visible 10 to 12 inches of space between them for proper setup.

If you're setting up a sensory swing in a doorway, properly attaching the straps is key to ensuring a safe and comfortable experience. Follow these simple steps to install your swing securely.

Scrunch the fabric by gathering the swing fabric tightly so it fits in your fist.

Secure with a loop by taking the metal loop on the strap and feeding the other end of the strap through it.

Repeat by leaving about 10 to 12 inches of space and repeating the process with the second strap.

Hang your swing using snap links to attach the straps to your doorway support bar.

After the initial setup, the swing may feel stiff or sit higher than expected. Over time, it will loosen and become more comfortable with use. If you prefer to speed up the process, you can machine wash the fabric to help soften it faster.

Happy swinging!
